User Agreement

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this Agreement. Spill Sisters is not available to anyone under 18.

You may not use the Service if we previously suspended or banned you, unless we give written permission. You may not use the Service where doing so would violate applicable law.

2. Your account

You agree to:

• Provide a valid email address and accurate age confirmation
• Keep your password, verification codes, reset links, and account access secure
• Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for activity that occurs through your account, except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable security safeguards
• Maintain only the accounts you legitimately need

Do not sell, transfer, share, or rent an account. Do not create another account to evade a block, restriction, suspension, or ban.

3. Your anonymous public identity

Spill Sisters gives members a system-issued alias and profile handle and offers a selection of avatars. Your email and real name are not shown on your public profile.

This is a privacy feature, not a promise of complete anonymity. Spill Sisters and its providers process account and technical information as described in the Privacy Policy. Other users may copy or screenshot content. A person who knows the underlying events may also recognize a story from its details.

You must not use an alias to impersonate another person, mislead users about an official role, or avoid responsibility for prohibited conduct.

4. The Service

Spill Sisters lets eligible members create Case Files, leave Sister Takes, participate in rooms and polls, react, save content, follow or block aliases, exchange message requests and direct messages, report concerns, and use related community features.

Features may change over time. Some features may be tested, limited, paused, or removed. We do not promise that any particular feature, post, message, alias, audience, or amount of storage will remain available forever.

5. Community conduct

You must follow the Community Guidelines. Among other things, you may not use the Service to:

• Reveal real names, usernames, contact details, exact locations, workplaces, schools, or other identifying information about a private person
• Dox, harass, threaten, stalk, bully, defame, humiliate, or target another person
• Encourage others to identify, contact, shame, investigate, review-bomb, or retaliate against someone
• Post non-consensual intimate material, sexual content involving a minor, or content that exploits another person
• Promote hatred, violence, self-harm, suicide, eating-disorder behaviour, fraud, trafficking, extortion, or serious wrongdoing
• Impersonate another person or falsely claim to represent Spill Sisters
• Send spam, scams, malicious links, malware, or requests for credentials or financial information
• Scrape, automate, probe, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or bypass the Service or its safeguards, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits
• Infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights
• Abuse reporting, moderation, or account-recovery systems

You are responsible for your conduct and for the content you submit.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of content you create, subject to the rights you grant below. You represent that:

• You have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content
• The content and our permitted use of it do not violate law or another person's rights
• You have removed identifying details and private information that should not be posted
• Your content does not violate this Agreement or the Community Guidelines

Licence to operate the Service

When you submit content, you grant Spill Sisters a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, display, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the Service and to comply with law. This licence allows us to make technical changes such as resizing an image or creating a feed preview; it does not transfer ownership to us.

We will not use a private message or a private person's story in external advertising without additional permission. Public content may appear inside Spill Sisters feeds, search, rooms, profiles, and share pages as part of normal Service operation.

The licence ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, except to the limited extent copies remain in backups, safety or legal records, or content shared by other users, and only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

Feedback

If you voluntarily send ideas or feedback about Spill Sisters, you allow us to use that feedback without restriction or payment, but we are not required to use it.

7. Moderation

We may review reports and relevant content and account context. We may use automated checks and human review to identify privacy risks, prohibited language, spam, abuse, or security threats.

We may warn users, hide or remove content, reduce distribution, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve limited safety records, or take other reasonable action. We consider severity, context, user history, and risk, but we are not required to apply the same action to every superficially similar situation.

We may act without notice when we reasonably believe delay could increase harm, compromise an investigation, or threaten the Service. We may also decide that reported content does not violate our rules.

To ask about a moderation decision, email support@spillsisters.com from your account email and include the relevant alias, link, or report context. Appeals do not guarantee reversal.

8. Messages and interactions with other users

Message requests are optional. You are responsible for deciding whether to accept one and what to share.

Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted. A participant can copy, screenshot, or retain a message regardless of a disappearing-message setting. Do not send passwords, verification codes, financial details, contact information, intimate images, or other information you cannot safely risk another participant keeping.

Spill Sisters does not control users away from the Service and is not responsible for meetings, transactions, advice, or communications arranged between users. Use caution before moving a conversation elsewhere or meeting anyone in person.

9. No professional advice or emergency service

Content on Spill Sisters is created largely by users and may be inaccurate, incomplete, upsetting, or unsuitable for your situation. Sister Takes are personal opinions, not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, employment, or other professional advice.

Spill Sisters does not monitor every conversation in real time and is not an emergency or crisis-response service. If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis service instead of relying on a post, report, or support email. See the Safety guide.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service, excluding user content, is owned by Spill Sisters or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. This includes the Spill Sisters name and branding, software, interface, designs, graphics, original text, and compilation of content.

We give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose while this Agreement is in effect. No other rights are granted.

Do not use Spill Sisters branding in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement without written permission.

11. Copyright and rights complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or another legal right, email support@spillsisters.com with:

• Your name and contact information
• A description of the protected work or right
• The URL or enough information to locate the material
• Why you believe the use is unauthorized
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act

We may ask for additional information, forward the notice as required by law, remove or restrict content, or reject incomplete or abusive notices. Do not make a knowingly false complaint.

12. Third-party services and links

The Service may rely on or link to third parties, including Cloudflare, Resend, Google, GIPHY, and Tenor. Their services and content are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Spill Sisters is not responsible for third-party services it does not control.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that information will be processed as described there.

14. Account deletion and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can permanently delete your profile through Settings or, if you cannot log in, request deletion through support@spillsisters.com. See Delete Account for the full process.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated this Agreement, created risk or legal exposure, endangered another person, used the Service fraudulently, or repeatedly interfered with the community or Service. Where appropriate, we may give notice or an opportunity to appeal.

After deletion or termination, provisions that by their nature should continue will survive, including ownership, limited retained licences, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, and obligations relating to past conduct.

15. Service availability and changes

We work to keep Spill Sisters available and safe, but the Service is provided on an evolving basis. It may be interrupted by maintenance, provider outages, security events, legal requirements, or changes to the product. We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service.

Where reasonably practical, we will provide notice of a material discontinuation. You are responsible for keeping copies of content you need; Spill Sisters is not a permanent archive.

16. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Spill Sisters disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We do not warrant that user content is true, that advice will produce a particular outcome, that every harmful post will be prevented or removed, or that an anonymous alias will make a person impossible to identify.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes a warranty or right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spill Sisters and its owners, personnel, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from the Service or this Agreement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising from the Service or this Agreement will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Spill Sisters in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) [CURRENCY] 100.

These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

18. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Spill Sisters and its owners, personnel, and affiliates from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your material violation of this Agreement or another person's rights.

This section does not require you to indemnify us for our own unlawful conduct and does not apply where prohibited by consumer-protection law.

19. Governing law and disputes

This Agreement is governed by the laws of [PROVINCE/STATE AND COUNTRY], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights, the courts located in [COURTS LOCATION] will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from this Agreement or the Service.

Before filing a claim, you and Spill Sisters agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. Send a written description of the issue and requested resolution to support@spillsisters.com and [MAILING ADDRESS]. Either party may seek urgent injunctive or safety-related relief without completing the informal process.

This section does not take away any right you cannot waive under the law where you live.

20. General terms

This Agreement, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines are the entire agreement between you and Spill Sisters about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect and the invalid provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary.

Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign this Agreement without our written consent. We may assign it as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service, subject to applicable law.

Section headings are for convenience only. The word "including" means "including without limitation."

21. Changes to this Agreement

We may update this Agreement as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised version and effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice and, where required, ask you to accept the updated Agreement. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.
